Day Retreat

A Summer Solstice Day Retreat

Saturday 21st June

11am - 5pm

Chew Valley

WHAT TO EXPECT

"Thank you for kissing our skin, nurturing our emotions and for illuminating our highest potential for joy and adaptability. Our seeds are now flowers that cover the landscape and dreamscape. We celebrate life with deep rituals rooted in synergy and transformational fire. We gather our desired plant allies, take a moment to write out prayers of gratitude and offer them to the wisdom of the fire. Carry our offerings to the highest realms, straight to the listening of our guides and our people. "

- Karen Culpepper

Litha, or the Summer Solstice, marks the longest day in the year and a time to celebrate the abundance of Mother Earth, fire and the sun. This is an invitation to join us in marking and celebrating  the Summer Solstice through a day of practices, rituals, seasonal food and community. An opportunity to slow down, to immerse yourself in yoga practices and rituals that will aid you to ground and connect to nature and the earth, but also an opportunity to connect back to yourself as we mark the longest day, the return of Summer.

Join us for a day nestled amongst nature with Chew Valley Lake as our backdrop. Surrounded by likeminded women as we explore movement, meditation, herbal crafts and ceremony.  Expect a space to connect with nature and the wise women of our ancestry. Exploring essential oils, plants, herbs and natural healing. A collaborative experience where we all share ideas, thoughts and stories whilst learning and exploring together.

Libby

I have always been curious about nature and the body and how the two work in harmony, how we can use practices and rituals to dive deeper into this; how we respond to the change of seasons, the cycles of life and the elements as a whole.

My approach to teaching is playful and intuitive, an invitation to connect and drop in to yourself, an exploration of the sweet balance between softness and strength. We will explore creativity through fluid and explorative movements, creative transitions, breathwork and meditation.

It is my calling to create spaces of connection, intention and exploration, and I truly believe that movement is medicine and I can't wait to share it with you.
